Hello there, Summer comes to an end en so does our long way of recording the music for the new one.
The keys are almost finished and will be followed by recording the voice.
There is a good chance al will be finished, including mix and mastering, before the end of the year.
Hopefully we have signed with a label by then so we can release the album as soon as can be in 2011.
Al depends on a record deal.
If it happens we surelly will re-release our first 3 albums.
And there are plans to work on a live DVD to celebrate our first decade.
But these are plans for later on, we have still a lot of work to do.
The songs are getting better and better while working on.
I know most bands say this, and its almost a cliche but this is very much the best thing we ever did.
By far...
I cant wait myself to release this beauty.
As you can see in the dates section we have two new gigs confirmed.
If you want to hear some new songs you can visit one of the shows.
After the album is released we will be on stage as much as we can.
See you later and stay tuned for updates.

Hello there...
were almost there to begin recording the keys and voices.
Some of the songs that we've recorded and are maybe already 4 years old, turned out to be even better then we have expected them to be.
Its always a surprise how a song finally sounds after the process of recording and mixing.
Most bands including us write songs but finish those songs in a studio.
You paint in the last details, change some sounds and tunes, and the songs soul and face becomes fully visible, for the ears that is...uh...
Anyway, its fantastic to experience that some of the song you thought wouldn't be the best on the new album become so great and important that you couldn't even finish the album off without those songs.
I cant wait to release this album and am very curious what the reactions will be.
humble as we might be as humans, we are very confident about this music.
There are plans that a very good friend of mine will help us out with recording the voice and mixing the album, I'm very sure the album would benefit so much with him helping us out.
We've had so much joy from the two gigs we did in Dordrecht and Leipzig.
Harald has shown to be a great key player for this band.
Dordrecht was the first since two years, I was forgotten how nervous a man can be stepping on stage for a crowd again.
Nevertheless, it went ok, it wasn't the best show we ever did, we felt uneasy but it was good to be on stage again, and a bit uncertain.
But in Leipzig it was like the old days again.
The crowd in Leipzig were so fantastic, the place and city so inspiring and if this gig is the standard for what we can expect in the future, then I'm a very happy man.
Until the next news update, take care and enjoy the world cup, and stay tuned for updates on this site.
and remember, goed bereid kost altijd veel tijd.

NEWSFLASH
|
Hello there, the recordings are coming to an end.
The keys and voices have to be recorded before we will continue mixing the songs.
There will be a little pause, later this month, because of our gig with Anathema in Dordrecht.
And of course when we do our show at the Wave Gothic treffen – Leipzich 23 may 2010.
We want to finish this whole thing before the Orange road to victory in South Africa starts.
I have started to redo some of the lyrics because some are written years ago, and I want the words to fit more with the person I am now.
Some of the songs, This Paradise- Mr. Faithful- Erased and Hail to the King will be the best we did so far in my opinion.
There are more dates coming up for shows at the end of the year. Hopefully we have had a change to sign with a record company by then and released our album . It has been far to long, and it’s about time these new songs are being set free.
Since the release of Atlantic our hairs turned grey, our skin crumbled and our ears turned more bad, and because of that I’m very curious about what the world thinks of these new songs, it could be that our bad ears covering all the worse that might be on this album.
We are doing our best to make something good out of this and release the songs as soon as possible, but i am also very beware of the fact that with all the struggles through this bands history it’s a wonder were still here anyway, BUT WE ARE!.
I leave you with greetings and wish for you all a fantastic summer, in this very sad week where another musical hero has died.
“Type O” was one of the bands that influenced The Wounded in a lot of what we did, specially in the beginning with “The art of grief”.
The reason we started to use keys and tuned down our guitars back in '97 were because we liked the sound so much that made them the band they were.
I hope the man will rest in peace.
Until later, take care!!
